Can a mug contain hot tea? Yes, it may contain the liquid but can never take its steam. The steam always has a way of rising above the liquid into the air. Such that if you put your cup of hot tea on a table and don’t tell anyone whether you are having a hot or cold beverage, they know without your telling. What a way to announce oneself, eh?
My daughter sure knows how to persistently ask for something. Once she set her eyes on anything she wants, she would barrage you with a truckload of ‘pleases’. Even after I say, I’ll give you that later, she never forgets. She would leave for a while and come back again later to ask of you what she wants. Just yesterday, she asked me to give her a crayon and I said to her, “I’ll give you later, you just finish eating.” After eating, she came back and asked for it again and again and again till I left what I was doing to give her THE crayon.
Today’s society has in many ways made nothing out of commitment. You only need to watch a few movies and see how commitment has been tagged old-fashioned and not necessary in this age and dispensation. Many view commitment as so last century and think that when someone they are in a relationship with suggests commitment, it is time to check out. The situation is no better even in friendships, how many people will stay committed to their friends through the thick and thin and how many will remain loyal when the going is no longer as good as it was in the beginning? But really, let’s give it a thought. What is wrong with commitment?
One thing that is common to all men regardless of the location where you live or the side of town where you work is TIME. 24 hours is common to the guy who is already at work in the United Kingdom and the lady who is probably still in bed in the United States. Regardless of the time difference, we all have the same amount of time to produce results, make improvements or perhaps, rest. It’s no wonder even our body has a way of working out the 24 hours that have been given to us to utilize. Just merely looking at the clock, gives you an idea of what you should be doing with your 24 hours.
