It Pays To Laugh!

We live in a world that is full of things to make us frown, sad, upset, frustrated and just overwhelmed. These things have the ability to stifle our joy, thereby making us go around with a heavy heart and a sad face.

However, we have to make up our minds to find things to make us laugh. Laughter makes us more relaxed and has the ability to reduce whatever stress we’re going through. After a good bout of laughter, it is possible to see issues from a more positive perspective.

It is no wonder that people naturally gravitate towards someone that makes them laugh. Laughter revives your muscles and this is why you must have heard that it takes more muscles to frown than it takes to smile, how much more to laugh!

When you laugh, you gain more than you lose. You gain a happy heart, you lose sadness. You gain relaxation, you lose stress. You gain freedom, you lose uptightness. You gain friendships, you lose isolation. You gain energy, you lose dullness. You gain zeal and zest, you lose indifference. Mostly, you gain a light heart and you lose a heavy heart!

Find something to laugh about! Enjoy life :).

  1. Its easy said than done..but I know its right though. When I am low then I am mostly in a shell but there comes a time when I have to deliberately shake it off and smile. I have my husband who will also sulk seeing me sad and then the home is no more good so I have to leave this feeling behind and smile… You see iam not in liberty to be sad for a long time.
    Nice post thank you.

    1. I agree with you that it’s easier said than done. Life could bring many things our way but we have to consciously smile and laugh. It’s good for our heart, after all. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your comment!
